In Norwich and Ely Cathedrals at the Autumn Equinox
23rd September 2022
It is our custom to pilgrimage in Norfolk or Cambridgeshire at the Autumn Equinox, when the sun is in the sign of Libra, as this part of the world was seen by the gypsies and earlier peoples to represent Libra in the landscape Zodiac around Britain.

Libra’s symbol is the scales, and the keynote is balance, of mind and heart; inner and outer etc. This year, since we have 2 Cathedrals within the area of the sign, we have felt inspired to have two groups working simultaneously, one at Ely and one in Norwich, tuning into one another at certain points during the day.

We shall meet at 10 am in the Refectory inside Norwich Cathedral, where those who wish can have hot drinks and refreshment. We will then walk to the river, pausing by a magnificent Cedar to make our dedication for the day. The walk along the river is approximately forty minutes, depending on how long we linger.
We shall then walk the Labyrinth in the Cathedral cloister, before having lunch.
There are several lunch places, two of which: the Cathedral Refectory and the Adam and Eve pub (said to be the oldest pub in the country!) do good light lunches.
After lunch there will be time for us to explore the Cathedral and surroundings on our own, meeting again at approximately 4pm to close the pilgrimage.
Parking
St Andrews car park, Duke St, NR3 3AT is £6 all day, and there is St Helen’s Wharf Car park, 17 Bishopsgate NR3 1RZ nearby which is £5.75 all day.
