Autumn Equinox Weekend
Friday 16th 6.30pm to Sunday 18th 3pm September
Wye Valley at Ragmans Lane Farm, Gloucestershire, GL17 9PA.
Balancing the Flame is a series of weekend workshops designed to explore, re-member and celebrate the eight most potent points of the year, the solar festivals, in relation to ourselves and the land upon which we live. These workshops are open to men, women and couples.
It is time to gather ourselves in, to reflect, review and rejoice at what we have achieved, in our own personal harvest and that of the land. Following a period of growth and activity, nature spirits and earth energies start to return to the land, and many native trees and plants begin to shed leaves ready to gather strength for the coming time of dormancy and quiet. There is an opportunity to restore and rebalance the inner and outer in preparation for our time in the darkness, so to be ready to receive the wisdom, inspiration and power that the winter promises.
A time of celebration and gathering of the last summer and autumn crops we can store their energy over winter to feed and nurture ourselves - hops and apples giving us libation in the cold and dark whilst above us the constellations of Taurus, Cassiopeia, Pegasus and Ursa Minor reappear in the night sky helping to guide the migrating animals across the globe.
Join us in our celebrations of the cycle through the festivals as we pass through this gateway in the seasons. We have danced with the spirits of the land and leave in the knowledge that they will continue their dance . . . as our Earth surely turns with the Sun in the greater dance of the cosmos.
The weekend costs £210 and includes all accommodation, meals and tuition.
