Take a sacred walk through hidden London with me. A pilgrimage through the fascinating city landscape of London.

Traveled by generations of Monarchs to know themselves. We will walk the same journey, use the potential of pilgrimage and walking to access our birth and rebirth at this solar festival of Yule. This is also a celebration and a support of London. Given the times we need conscious commerce to take us through in the best manner. This is walk to bring in the energy of conscious commerce throughout the City of London.

This is a sacred walk in preparation for the solar Festival of Yule. The Yule festival, also known as the Festival of Rebirth, celebrates the midpoint of winter and the handing over of the season from the Holly King, the holder of the dark, to the Oak King the holder of the light. It marks the time where we complete the strengthening work we have been doing, to prepare ourselves for the coming year and start to set the seed of the ideas and desires we have, that we wish to manifest during the next turn of the wheel of the year.

This time marks a significant moment in time, after our descent into the shortening of the daylight days, we reach the culmination of the dark, as it reaches its peak. Then at Yule, the sun stops its decent and stays steady for three days, rising about the same time each day. This is the spark point. The point where the momentum shifts and changes into a new. The start of the new cycle may begin with the Festival of Peace but the energy changes and the spark of the new emerges at this festival.

I have always seen this as a moment of true depth, where we reach down to reveal the true nature of our desires and to offer those to the fertile ground, as the intent defining what we want to focus on for the coming year. To know this, we have strengthened ourselves, removed those belief systems that no longer serve us and set our grounding into firm land, to hold us as we embody this new energetic shift and embrace the new adventures set before us.

Pilgrimage.

London-based landscape designer Jeremy Rye will be leading guided tours of the four London walks that were known to Kings and Queens since the beginning of the monarchy in England.

These spiritual walks were undertaken by the monarchs and the landscape keepers of the time. They would journey at specific points in their reign, at certain times of the year or for the marking of events. These were not only a means of navigating a city but seen as instrumental in maintaining its health, spiritual and commercial success.

Unlike a typical history tour, this is an opportunity for participants to mirror these spiritual journeys, in part to strengthen our sense of self, answer questions we have and to transform. They are an ideal companion to other self-reflection practices such as journaling, therapy or meditation.

Jeremy Rye is a practicing landscape architect who integrates history and spirituality in his work.

Route:

This is one of four sacred walks in London routes that crosses the city and will start at Tower of London and end at St Paul's Cathedral. There will be seven stops made along the way where Jeremy will both point out historic architectural features, their history and their connection to a spiritual question. Participants are invited to use these stops not only to listen but find answers for themselves.

Accessibility:

The walk will take on average 2 hours and is not wheelchair accessible.

The walk will take part no matter the weather and tickets are non-refundable.
