Summer Solstice Pilgrimage 2023

This is on the Michael and Mary line in mid/west Suffolk in a direct route (about 7 miles)
from Walsham-Le-Willows to Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds.
We will visit four churches and have a pub lunch (or there’s a churchyard and deli for picnicers).
The churches range from the warm walnut medieval roof and modern art of Walsham; a cruciform church with polygonal tower at Pakenham; a dragon themed church on a Roman hill at Stowlangtoft; and the stately lone church at Gt Barton. We’ve chosen by atmosphere and dedication, and places we feel we’d like to tune into the energy and heal. It is very rural but not far from A roads or a railway station, but there are few facilities. The only walking is on paths round pretty villages so it is suitable for all.
