During this special retreat week on Iona we will make an exploration into the redeeming power of love and its operation in the world in the present time—something that the great inspirer and founder of the New Age movement, Sir George Trevelyan, referred to as “Operation Redemption”.

The poet TS Eliot also had insights into this, which he wove into his poem ‘Little Gidding’, more famously known by its concluding words, “And all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well, when the tongues of flames are in-folded Into the crowned knot of fire, and the fire and the rose are one.” We will consider what this means to each of us, what it means to the world, and what the role of Iona and ourselves might be in this great world event.

Iona, once the home of St Columba, ‘the Dove’, is the foremost mystical isle of the British Isles, the Hyperborean “Blessed Isles of the West”. Located off the west coast of Scotland, it has been inhabited and acknowledged as a sacred island for millennia. It is a major focus of pilgrimage, with its abbey attracting thousands of visitors every year from all over the world. It is a spiritual home and place of peace for many.

Iona is a stunning example of sacred landscape in which the angels heal, inspire and teach. It is a place of inspiration and revelation, where the veil between heaven and earth is very thin and the presence of the masters and angels can be more easily felt and experienced. Its Celtic name, Ioua, is a name of God as the Holy Spirit of Love. Traditionally symbolised by the Dove, this Name or spiritual vibration has a form, and this energy form is imprinted on the island in various ways, one of them being a ‘rose’.*

The island rises from the sea as one of the ‘stars’ of the crown chakra of the Grail Land of Western Europe. In the landscape zodiac of Scotland, it acts as the bright star, Sirius, home (either metaphorical or real) of the great souls who come to our world at key moments of time as World Saviours or Redeemers.

This inspirational and educational retreat will include talks, attunements, meditations, prayer, paneurhythmy, explorations of the island and celebration.

COST
Cost includes seven nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast (full) at the St Columba Hotel, private use of the village hall and/or hotel lounge, and the organisation, teaching and workshop leadership that is an integral part of the retreat week. Any other costs, such as travel to and from Iona, lunches, drinks, etc., are not included.

Booking Applications
The organisers reserve the right to refuse a booking or an application for a booking if, in their opinion, it seems appropriate to do so.

Agreement
By booking on this Iona Retreat Week, you will be agreeing that you understand that such an event on an island of this nature carries certain risks (e.g. uneven and sometimes rocky or boggy ground, uncertain weather, unsupervised beaches) and that you are fully prepared to be responsible for your own safety and health, physical and psychological, as far as is normal and reasonable in such circumstances, and will have suitable and sufficient personal clothing and footwear. It is also a requirement that you have sufficient health and travel insurance for the event.

Cancelations 
If, after booking, you find that you are unable to come on the retreat, we will endeavour to refund any monies paid (less £150 administration fee), depending on whether or not your place can be taken by someone else.

* The energy system of Iona as a landscape temple, consisting of two major chakra systems, a ‘tree of life’ configuration and a 10-sign zodiac (i.e. a double rose), was first discovered in the 1970s by Peter Dawkins, who has been researching further and sharing his knowledge of the island via these special Iona retreat weeks. Because of its unique structure and other factors, the island is itself a wonderful teacher as well as a beautiful place to relax, explore and enjoy.
