Wheel of Life Full Moon Meditation – Libra Sun / Aries Moon

Saturday 26 September

Wheel of Life Full Moon Meditation - Libra Sun / Aries Moon – 26th September 2026

The full moon link-up is offered as a way of connecting with other ‘inner pilgrims’. You are invited to join in at 12 noon on this date - Meditation is a personal journey, which unfolds in our unique ways. As we attune together at 12 pm we can make our prayers more powerful with a common focus. For those who feel connected to this particular work of the Gatekeeper Trust perhaps we could share the focus of a wheel of silver light spinning in the British Zodiac, radiant and happy.

SUN IN LIBRA MOON IN ARIES
FULL MOON MEDITATION
SEPTEMBER 26
AT NOON LOCAL TIME

LIBRA REPRESENTS THE ‘MEDIATOR AND DIPLOMAT’ – a role to play as a leaders with humanitarian purpose. The Aries moon represents the ‘spiritual warrior’ facing obstacles of multi-faceted groups and intentions.

To surmount these, an expansive heart and openness are needed.

The willingness to work with our inner warrior with ‘fiery hope’ and generosity is essential, for great achievements are predicated on inspiring groups to work together to blend gifts and talents together.

The ‘Round Table’ of enlightenment: Based on Peter Dawkins’ draft, graphics by Caroline Danby.

THE ROUND TABLE OF THE CYCLE OF ILLUMINATION [heralded by King Arthur] is imprinted in the astrological cycle of the sun-moon dialogue.

We are all magicians of the creative flow of evolution, catching the impulse, of the solar-lunar cycle, and embodying the spirit of the new. In order to open the petals of heart-wisdom, we learn to love, understand and serve.

OUR COMMUNITY of creative magicians, generates enthusiasm, mediation and shared vision – a focal point for religion and sharing sacred place and sanctuary. So in our history we have created sacred community, on the same ancient temples sites, continuing tradition and building a ‘cultural angel’ over the centuries.

The British landscape in Libra contains two great cathedrals where sanctuary and celebration enhancing the many layers of temple devotion, lie below their foundation and enhanced by their position in the landscape: Ely and Bury St Edmunds.

Bury St Edmunds Cathedral

Ely Cathedral

Wiki: ‘Ely is built on a 23-square-mile (60 km2) Kimmeridge Clay island which, at 85 feet (26 m), is the highest land in the Fens. …. ‘Markets are now held on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with a farmers' market on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.’

In Suzy Straw’s ‘Encircling the Land with Sacred Dance’, an outstanding photo shows her in a blaze of candle light and a great circle of dancers.

SACRED CIRCLE DANCE IN ELY CATHEDRAL

This is iconic, and the inspiration for her project was her passion for dance. Sacred Circle Dance illuminates the ‘Libra’ theme of how combining traditional music with precise steps, within a nation-wide timetable of Britain’s cathedrals, the ‘Encircling the Land in Sacred Dance’ project gives us a model of group resonance and attunement to the cosmic constellations that give us birth.

THE ANCIENTS EVOLVED A DEEP DEVOTION TO THE COSMOS AND ITS CONSTELLATIONS.

LIBRA gives us a sense of connecting and balancing temples through time. There is an annual calendar of cathedral venues around Britain. The traditional dance is enacted with a precise plan of steps and inspiring music. The candle light serves to symbolize the devotional key of ‘Libra’ in the landscape: dedication to the mediation, cultural celebration within each sacred cathedral site. The cathedrals are built upon many centuries of devotion, and each built with a sacred geometric formula in mind.

SACRED CIRCLE DANCE IN BURY ST EDMUNDS 2009 WITH SUZY STRAW

The star map around Bury St Edmunds – see Michael Burgess.

The huge stone in the centre of the zodiac may have been in a ‘holy axis’ position, discovered by Michael W. Burgess.

QUOTE: ‘THE HOUND: The circle of the zodiac has a guardian hound, facing west, with paws outstretched towards Kedington, whose church is built on a pagan site, and whose churchyard contains 10 elms, under each of which, legend says, lies a knight. In this pattern, he seems rather too close to the other figures, but this could be because of the position of Gemini. Also, he is obviously meant to be watching the borders of Suffolk. On his ear is Hundon church (All Saints’), on his rump St.Mary’s at Poslingford, and at the tip of his tail, the remains of Chipley Abbey. The most significant features are by his hind leg: the Wentford, the hermitage, the church of Ss. Peter and Paul, Clare Castle, and the Iron Age hillfort of Clare Camp, also called Erbury or Houndswall.

The centre of the Bury Zodiac is, like that at Nuthampstead the remains of wooded equilateral triangle, here called ‘Hawk’s Leys’.
SUFFOLK ALIGNMENTS:

Leiston Abbey https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/leiston-abbey/

Associated with Leiston Abbey, ‘Black Shuck’ may be informing us of a sacred route or temple that used to belong to the interconnections of the Bury landscape zodiac. What is the story identifying if it is not a ‘guardian of the underworld’ for pilgrims who need to be prepared for illumination.

https://visit-burystedmunds.co.uk/blog/the-black-shuck

Legend: ‘The scorch marks on Blythburgh and Bungay churches are still shown today and remain one of the most tangible pieces of evidence for the legend.‘Black Shuck’ embodies the boundary between the natural and supernatural, reflecting the fears and beliefs of rural communities in East Anglia for centuries, and inspiring books, art, and ghost tours.’

As modern pilgrims, how do we mediate between these legendary interpretation, and the ‘zodiac’ ritual paths of Bury, where if the terrestrial star map was about indication, the Black Dog was part of the education of pilgrims.

The symbolic Mediator in Libra: ‘Black Shuck’ – or ‘guardian of the underworld’ - of pilgrims? ‘Black Shuck’ (Black Dog/Anubus) is a legendary spectral black dog with fiery glowing eyes that is said to prowl the coastline, lanes and countryside of East Anglia, particularly in Suffolk — from the marshes around

This fearsome “hellhound” isn’t just a spooky story: it’s deeply woven into Suffolk’s cultural identity, with tales of mysterious sightings and eerie encounters passed down through generations and celebrated in local festivals and storytelling traditions. ….. The legend is primarily associated with East Anglia, including Suffolk,

Orford Castle, aligned to Leiston Abbey.

Aligned with Orford Castle, the landscape tells us a story hidden from view. ‘Orford Castle was built using a local mudstone, which has been crumbling for centuries. After more than 13 years of research, Orford Castle is now protected by.a breathable coating of yellow-ochre lime render, preserving it for future generations.’

Bungay and Blythburgh relate to the wider region that includes Bury St Edmunds. ….Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, and Essex

The Bungay Black Dog and Blythburgh….Does the mythology of ‘conscious gateway’apply to the mythology, and the inherent ‘landscape temple’ implied?

As modern pilgrims, how can we interpret an ‘energy science’ in response to the legends?

Legend has it that on 4th August 1577, a large black dog burst in through the doors of St Mary's Church in Bungay to a clap of thunder. It ran up the nave, past a large congregation, killing a man and boy and causing the church steeple to collapse through the roof, before moving on to Blythburgh Church where it mauled and killed more people. https://www.thesuffolkcoast.co.uk/articles/the-legend-of-the-bungay-black-dog

According to folklore, the spectre haunts the landscapes of East Anglia, primarily coastline, graveyards, side roads, crossroads, bodies of water and dark forests. It's alleged appearance in 1577 at Bungay and Blythburgh is a particularly famous account of the beast, and images of black sinister dogs have become part of the iconography of the area and have appeared in popular culture.

HUNTINGDON ST MARY
Not far away is the famous angel roof of Huntingfield St Mary, painted in dazzling colours by a Victorian vicar’s wife. Seeing is believing.

As pilgrims and artists we ‘mediate’ between history, stories and symbols and the ‘felt sense of alignment through a ‘terrestrial star map’ discovered. Orford Castle may be part of an alignment of old sites going E-W.

EXMOOR RESEARCH INTO SACRED TRIANGLES
(by Tony Barstow – subject to further research)

Alignments for pilgrimage research, September 2026. We combine pilgrim purpose with map measurements and interpretations, to catch the hidden wisdom… Avebury and Stonehenge seem to have many connections unfolding.

Michael & Mary lines’ was actually coined by Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurst in their seminal book ‘The Sun & the Serpent: https://chitternenowandthen.uk/2022/07/18/the-michael-and-mary-ley-line/

The ‘scales’ depicted as balancing at Avebury in the centre, with the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight. What is its significance in terms of Megalithic astro-geometry? Professor Thom’s sacred triangle overlaps to align with Lundy.

‘The important Michael and Mary line stretches across southern England for 350 miles or so from the westernmost point in Cornwall to the easternmost on the Norfolk coast. The path of the rising midsummer sun, passing through St Michael’s Mount, Cornwall and St Michael’s Church, on Glastonbury Tor. The Michael or male line is straight while the female Mary line wiggles and intertwines with it along its length. Every place where the two lines meet and cross is significant. Avebury sits on the halfway point and is a place of great interest to the believers in ley line energy …. John Mitchell was purported to have discovered the ‘Michael’ line but from the Norfolk end.’

‘The SW Peninsular’ by Tony Barstow.
An experimental set of lines and triangles linking with the Lundy Sacred Triangle of Professor Thom, where connections with Stonehenge nave proliferated.

Interrelationships between heavenly wisdom/precision and human experimentation are where we find our own cosmic identity as well. This divine ‘poetry’ of energy was deeply significant to the bards in terms of the constellations of the cosmos, and we are only just touching into the hidden world of resonance around ancient temples and our deep cultural roots. The Isle of Man also links through Holy Island, Lundy Island and Castle Dor in Cornwall, with the ‘Sacred Triangle’ of Professor Thom linking with Stonehenge. A feast for geomancers, the emerging geometry from the sleeping landscape is an answer from the ‘angels’ of cosmic order above. How do we reconstruct our holidays from how on to become part of a holy lifestyle?

The ancient traditions linking the constellation artwork acted as a ‘mirror’ linking us with the Cosmos. Our true identity as We are able to recognize the balance between the cosmos and our individual growth and unfoldment, creating our cosmic ‘angellic’ identity. We are awakening.

https://www.zoence.co.uk/zodiac/discovery-of-the-british-landscape-zodiac/ The ‘unequal’ and ‘equal’ diagrams of stellar constellations as researched by Peter Dawkins, graphics by Sam Dawkins. Each design tells of the stories and traditions generated around the ‘sky wheel’ leading to heightened conscious culture.

TEMPLES: the landscape holds a secret, says Peter Dawkins, of the estoteric meaning of ‘landscape temple’ as creations from the rising of consciousness within humanity. Mediation with the ‘sleeping giants’ enhanced humanity’s enlightenment.

The central role of temples and sanctuaries predated Christianity, from where we link to the Celtic ‘Hero’ figure embodying divinity: ‘Esus’ , from whom some accounts tell us the name ‘Jesus’ (“Joshua’`) derived . Wiki: Esus[a] is a Celtic god known from iconographic, epigraphic, and literary sources.

OTHER LANDSCAPE ZODIACS CREATED BY VARIOUS RESEARCHERS – HOW THEY MEDIATE BETWEEN THEMSELVES, CREATING LARGER ASSOCIATIONS:

Looking at the recent publications of researchers, we find the zodiac landscapes of Bury St Edmunds, Capricorn, Glastonbury, Dartmoor/Exmoor, and Bodmin Moor designs all have the Michael and Mary Lines implicate within their designs. THE sign of Capricorn often offers a gateway to the Michael Line, and thus implies an energetic link across the country.

It interesting to note that the Bury St Edmund terrestrial zodiac seems to connect to the Michael and Mary line going through its Sagittarius/Capricorn cusp, the ‘resurrection’ gateway of its Milky Way. Similarly, the Capricorn zodiac researched by Anthony Thorley is connected to the Michael and Mary Line through the Avebury stone Sanctuary at the Taurus/Gemini ‘Rebirth Gateway’ of Capricorn. Further Soouth East of Glastonbury, this powerful line runs through Burrow Mump and the terrestrial Capricorn ‘unicorn’. See more here:

THE ‘GIRT DOG’ OF LANGPORT – its nose at the Mump. Meglithomania –‘ BURROW MUMP AND THE MICHAEL LINE’ Hugh Newman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5CJ4uYUa6w

The Unicorn figure overlays the Dog, confirming how the Michael and Mary line approximately covers the Sagittarius ‘gateway’ of the Milky Way of the astrological system.

Situated near King Alfred’s Athelney Island, the ‘mump’ is said to have visited by the king, with its view of Glastonbury Tor, and we can imagine how he was orienting his future role as sovereign, once King Guthrun was defeated.

Explore the mysteries of the Glastonbury landscape on the 'Mysteries of England Tour' in July 2020. Details here: http://www.megalithomania.co.uk/engla.... Hugh Newman visits Burrow Mump (Burrowbridge Mump) in Somerset and reveals its place along the Michael ley line, and within the Glastonbury Zodiac's 'Girt Dog of Langport'. It also marks out the third eye of a giant landscape Unicorn! The hill is 24 metres (79 ft) high, and stands at a strategic point where the River Tone and the old course of the River Cary join the River Parrett (the Unicorn's horn). The church is dedicated to St Michael and aligns with Glastonbury Tor to the north east, that also has a St Michael tower, and one can be seen from the other on a clear day. This sacred hill is part of the wassailing tradition where apples are thrown into the river to feed the great dog, and nearby Wagg Drove is the location of the dog's tail in the landscape effigy! Includes exclusive aerial footage.

HOW TERRESTRIAL ZODIACS MEDIATE BETWEEN EACHOTHER - THE MICHAEL LINE CONNECTS THE ANCIENT ‘STAR MAPS’ at the PILGRIMAGE OF THE MILKY WAY GATEWAYS:

IMAGINATION AND ART IN THE LANDSCAPE

The Alchemical tradition:

Peter Dawkins’ ‘Masonic Compass’ – orientation of the ‘synthesis’ of Humanity between the animal Earth Animalistic Nature of Mankind (Symbolised by Leo) and the ‘Cosmic Humanity’ (Virgo) ’:

The teaching is of the essential ‘biosynthetic’ nature of
the Human Race: the marriage of Leo and Virgo.

KINGS TOR – the placename implies the sovereign role of the tor within the ancient culture. Later research shows it forms a precise position within a ‘cusp relationship between Aquarius and Capricorn. Interpretations include the ‘astrogeometry’ implied between the alternating cusp between leo and Virgo. The symbology is of the teaching that humanity is upon this cusp of ‘divinity symbolized by the Virgo figure’ and the ‘animal lineage symbolized by the Leo fgure’.

An attempt to replicate this astrological synthesis in Dartmoor landscape: This rough depicture of the ‘Masonic Teaching’ of the nature of Humanity as synthesis of ‘Virgin’ (the divinity within the psyche_ and the Lion (Leo, the natural ‘king’ of the animal life form of the planet):

A draft plan of a ‘compass’ anchored at Kings Tor researched by a pilgrims group from South Hams area in 2014. These alignments approximately oriented to the star map, thus re-activated through modern pilgrimage arts.

At the End of the Leo-Virgo cusp, where line coincides with the ceremonial complex of Tottisford Reservoir’. The site was investigated in the year of a great drought revealing the series of avenues and circles of stones. This is only a rough interpretation of what mght have been a mystical ‘teaching’ in earlier times, now submerged in the waters of a reservoir. (an apt symbol for humanity’s modern hidden interpretations of earlier landscape ritual sites. Many of these mystics’ teaching landscapes are hidden, some revealing scientific interpretation, this one by Time Team.

The Arts

We are creative creatures, embodying cosmic measurements and symbol within our evolving thinking as means of expressing incarnational wisdom.

Humanity evolves through innovation: the enjoyment through rhythm and artistic symbolism.

Circle dance, an ancient tradition. Improvised mandala and Improvised poetry have been used in the South hams pilgrimages of Dartmoor, creating a deep identification through the senses to the spirit of place.

Hay Tor dancing group of pilgrims, lead by Michael and Helen Loxton.

Kings Tor celebrations in Dartmoor – each poet chose an inspiring position from which to generate their improvised poem.

In the centre of Kings Tor is a ‘heart’ shaped space which focused our energy with potent symbolism.

Kings Tor bards.

Group Poem at Wistman’s Wood, Dartmoor 2011:

Group song of the Wistman’s Wood bards:
Ancient wisdom
Dewdrops on stones.
Mist and moss,
The mushroom and dung
Silent presence,
We are guided
And protected for ever.

Quiet eternity
Blessing your feet.
Mysty track of life,
As ages pass.
Settled on moist moss,
The roots of the past
Are all around.

There will be misty periods
And sunlit times,
Pile of dung.
Feel our silent presence
as we guide and protect you ever
Allow for the destination to be unseen.

I am a pioneering spirit of love wisdom,
And vision – soul journey to beauty.
To see with the heart
Is to truly live.
Strongly planted heart protection,
Secret beauty open,
Heart recycles
Cool heart-pool space

MANDALA of leaves and sticks, Wistman’s Wood:

The group mandala, made of loose leaves and sticks, returned in situ after our poem and dance. It was the balance between prehistory and present moment: within the ancient woodland, where dwarf oak trees create beautiful patterns of trunks, moss and huge altar stones of the Druids:

The pilgrim group gathering loose moss, leaves and sticks from the huge altar stones of the Druids.

Memory captured through original artwork and group attunement, at a Gatekeeper Trust Pilgrimage in 2012. Sculpture by Michael Loxton, shown within a montage of ancient woodland. This is artistic magic, and anchors our group memories within our legal boundaries of a legal ‘Trust’.

“Our objectives: to research and to educate the public in the traditions of temples and sanctuaries of early culture within the British landscape, especially earth monuments.”

The ‘Spirit of Place’ guides modern protection: no entrance for the public.
Respect for the ‘temporate rain forest’ of Dartmoor. Our photos and artwork are the last celebratory recognition of Nature’s wisdom and ritual culture at work here.

BALANCE OF MAJOR ENERGY LINESS: THE MICHAEL AND MARY LINE – LINKING landscape zodiacs up to Hopton on the coast.

SEAHENGE – now conserved within a museum with photos to reflect and consider our role as a caring, modern human culture.

Seahenge submerged – a circle of wood pieces around a natural wood trunk.

Seahenge at low tide, showing exposed rocky sealine.

Seahenge with pilgrims – the atmospheric experience of witnessing the actual position of an early sanctuary of wood… a sad and awesome image, before it was deconstructed to remain in a musem – where a public conscience is to preserve the art of the age-old culture from which we sprang, and make it available for wider cultural educational puroses.

Libra is the sign of mediation between changing cultures, events and memories. Therefore our questions conjure up a lost culture and landscape: Was Seahenge mediating between the ‘lost lands’ of Doggerland/Dogger Bank now under water? This ‘henge’ is a gateway of memory, and therefore deserves devout reporting in order to mediate our cultural memory. Were the peoples who lived in Doggerland following the rituals of the pre-Druid priests who built the circle?

The circle might have been connected to rituals that were submerged, but remains may be found too deep below our Cathedrals, in the rocks and stones of ancient temples.

My aunt Nancy saw Seahenge on the beech before it was controversially moved. It is a wonder, as the seashore rose, and still the pre-Stonehenge circle persisted in being itself in its unique, vociferous arrangement of ritual wooden posts. The structure of the centre-piece remained true to its organically grown form. It represents the ages passing…. Now from the museum where it has been preserved, it can speak to us of our own wonder. My own family now have a reference point, while my memories are also of Aunt Nancy witnessing a ‘flying saucer’ over London Bridge. What times are we about to witness?

So we also engage in ritualistic play as human groupings… allowing a living pulse of our future world to incarnate as a fusion of intelligence, divine logic and sheer enjoyment of living in conscious incarnation.

HOW DO WE LIVE THROUGH OUR PERSONALL ‘LIBRA’ MEDIATOR ROLE INTO EMERGENCE AND GREATER ‘WHOLENESS’ OF BEING? How have we advanced from concept, to dedication, to group cohesion with the common aim of innovative discovery and creativity? How have we designed a map of ‘creative aliveness\identity in the world, and challenged it to ‘final perfection’, before engaging with a wider ‘human public’, our family culture, the events changing our intentions from across cultures and continents?

These challenges are a part of our pilgrimage through time, down into our origins, and out into our future mediations, finding balance, learning from the past, and celebrating and reveling in the joy of rebirth…. Can this be RIGHT DOWN THE LANE where we live?
