Wheel of Life Full Moon Meditation – Gemini Sun / Sagittarius Moon

Sunday 31 May

Wheel of Life Full Moon Meditation - Gemini Sun / Sagittarius Moon – 31st May 2026

The full moon link-up is offered as a way of connecting with other ‘inner pilgrims’. You are invited to join in at 12 noon on this date - Meditation is a personal journey, which unfolds in our unique ways. As we attune together at 12 pm we can make our prayers more powerful with a common focus. For those who feel connected to this particular work of the Gatekeeper Trust perhaps we could share the focus of a wheel of silver light spinning in the British Zodiac, radiant and happy.

Dear Gatekeepers

Welcome! We are very pleased to say that our Annual Conference will take place on Sunday 8 November. The theme this year will be “Gateways” and we are putting together an outstanding panel of speakers who will share their wisdom on this theme. We will provide further details as soon as possible, but in the meantime please Save The Date. As we move through the seasons, the weather warms and the Summer Solstice is on the horizon. We celebrate the full moon in Sagittarius, being the second full moon the month.

We pilgrimage onto the Sagittarian landscape of the south of England where Angela Shaw takes us on her “Sound in the Land” pilgrimage to the rivers of Hampshire and Surrey:

Sending words and sounds of blessing and healing through the River Wey’s waters’ flow out into the wider landscape and to other Gatekeepers joining from their sacred spaces. Water from the River Hart, hawthorn, incense and singing bowl represented the elements. Both rivers flow into the Thames, one flowing west to east, the other south to north. So, all directions were covered – Hart to Wey - linking these two water catchments and the counties of Hampshire and Surrey.

Birdsong was the predominant sound, the river giving a plop of acknowledgement at the end of our ceremony of honouring. A shared time of stillness, presence and gratitude. What a special time midway between the Flower full moon on May Day and Beltane on 5 May.
Angela Shaw

On the 31 May Full Moon – named the Blue Moon as it is the second full moon this month, will rise in the east, just to the right of the constellation of Virgo. The colour of the moon will probably be reddish or orange when it is near the horizon.

In the northern hemisphere, the summer solstice occurs around 20–22 June and pinpoints the beginning of astronomical summer. This year the date falls on Sunday 21June at 9.24am.

When the sun rises on the fourth day after the summer solstice (24June, the sun having stood still for theprevious three days), Peter Dawkinswrites of this Midsummer’s Day, iethe culmination of the three-day solstice, that it has been “traditionally celebrated as representing the glory and majesty of light, whilst at its heavenly zenith, beginning its gradual descent into the dark underworld.

This is known as The Festival of Joy. Whereas the midwinter festival has its focus for celebration on the family and hearth (or heart) of the home, the midsummer festival focuses its celebration on the greater community and hierarchy of rulership or divinity: hence in the Celtic-Christian tradition Midsummer's Day is when King Arthur and his Queen hold their annual feast with their knights and ladies of the Round Table.”

Sound in the Land Report 4 May 2026 – Jane Knight.

On 3 May at 12 noon, I took two minutes to tune in with everyone participating in Sound in the Land. I was involved in a prearranged family event, so I intended that my meditation the next day would connect in with these energies. I am fortunate enough to live next to Hem Heath Woods, managed by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. At around 11.15 the next day I walked with my dogs through the woods. My intention was, as well as intuiting my spot, to take the edge off their energy so they settled while I took time out to meditate and sound. April and May are my favourite months in the woods as they are a carpet of blue. I found myself a place where I could rest undisturbed. My silence was not matched by the birds who were joyfully singing their hearts out. I could barely hear my own toning as I joined in with their songs. It was a magical experience. As I finished my meditation, I recorded 30 seconds of birdsong. I was delighted to discover I had been connecting with nine different species: wren, blackcap, blackbird, mistle thrush, goldcrest, robin, wood pigeon, great tit, treecreeper. I gave thanks for this wondrous connection with the land and all its inhabitants.

We have all the Sound in the Land and Light in the Land reports on our website. We would love to include yours. Please send it to secretary@gatekeeper.org.uk

Astbury Church, Congleton, Cheshire - Photo National Churches Trust

On Sunday 31 May Vicky Wade is leading our next Gatekeeper pilgrimage around Astbury in Cheshire. We are meeting at 10.30am at the coffee shop by Astbury Mere car park on Sandy Lane, Congleton. All are welcome. There is no charge and no need to be a Gatekeeper member. We are a friendly group so you’re welcome to come on your own or with friends.

This is a relatively easy walk of a few miles. Vicky has secured access to the Grade I listed Astbury Church which is bound to be fascinating.

We are also dog friendly! There are no stiles to negotiate so this walk is suitable for dogs of all breeds with their owners. We just ask that dogs are kept on short leads and be aware that they may not be allowed in the church, but we always have volunteers to look after the dogs, so we all get chance to look round in shifts.

Please register your interest with Vicky on 07956 015879 by Friday 29 May.
For more information follow this link to the website page.

Here we meet Charlotte in the sun sign of Gemini:

GEMINI is about the ‘double truth’ explained by Peter Dawkins as the foundation of consciousness and understanding. Our pilgrimage experiences have been described by Peter as ‘building the light body’ of the landscape and of ourselves.

The double truth involves the relationship in our conscious lives between the IDEAL and the REAL. In astrophysics and astro-geometry, the mathematical precision is always there under the surface of our senses: our quest is how the ‘light body’ encompasses this precision and truth, and how we are continually triggered to learn from this relationship of experience.

Therefore as the Sun quest presents itself to us, it embodies the investigation into how the double truth manifests in our work with the Gatekeeper Trust. Our research brings many deep, extraordinary discoveries about the Megalithic builders of 10,000 years and more ago and their mathematics. The precision of these builders and their sanctuaries reveals Pythagorean precision and accuracy, as their sanctuaries aligned to the passages of the sun and moon.

Gemini is the sign of the INNOVATOR, bringing original creative forms to birth. Duality reigns at all times, drawing out originality from our very souls. Rory Duff illustrated his dowsing ‘geophysics’ of resonance in the form of straight lines as well as ‘whirling vortices’ that resemble a grail cup:

Rory Duff artwork after dowsing Stanton Drew. He later travelled round Portugal and captured images similar to Templar artefacts.

Rory Duff’s double vortex and grail bowl, representing artefacts
Innovative with the arts, Rory Duff’s dowsable energy vortex at Standon Drew. https://roryduff.com/ This response from the imagination represents a shape ‘felt’ in the body, and ‘detected’ through dowsing rods, a duality in relationship between human consciousness in focus and Nature.

IMAGES OF THE LIGHT BODY: The images he ‘innovated creatively’ from his dowsing outcomes, can be a way of representing human consciousness when in harmony with the Earth, and with the ‘duality’ balancing Earth Energy alignments and creative response in conscious reflection.

Rory Duff explored the Templar hilltop sites, and came to the conclusion that these mystics had dowsed landscape energy, focused their culture with art that built collective mindset, and travelled the ‘energy lines’ where ritual mattered.

The arts enliven our imagination and sensory connection with the Earth and its ‘ideal’ mathematical internal logic of building and renewing forms, regenerating energy flows…. all within our subjective experience. Are these also ‘bridges’ between our physical senses and the ‘light body’ of the landscape in which we dowse?

Early art forms, says Howard Crowhurst see *https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDrU-O4e5Nk) ‘The Megalithic Solstice Line in Southern England’ in which the horse is ‘brilliant’ and moves the sun with its brilliance. We therefore see and experience the sun, and within it is the motive force which develops alignments, orientations and mathematically formulated cycles. The ‘duality’ of nature is expressed innovatively human observation

It brings in a third force that creates ‘wisdom, knowledge, intuitive enlightenment’ within our culture, shared, developed, tested and internally ever present throughout history.

Rory Duff’s leylines of differing sizes. See ‘Holy Grail Found ‘ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6QzATNEnAs&t=58s

These all can variously be dowsed as vortices of energy at local cross-over sites, where human consciousness and activities enhance the underlying flow

LOCAL RESEARCH IN THE SW ENGLAND:

We explore our experiences of innovating with our observations: what emerges through our conscious appreciation? A new adventure in consciousness? A new interpretation of duality? Do we exercise our focus of observation and can it create a ‘vortex’ in Nature’s subtle realms? What is the power of our conscious appreciation of the ancient stones in our environment?

In our landscape there are two zodiac landscapes, and their Gemini aspects face each other. In motion, when the Exmoor zodiac turns anti-clockwise, from Gemini to Taurus, the Dartmoor zodiac turns clockwise, from Gemini to Cancer. Along the middle is the Michael and Mary line, which moves from West to East.

The Gemini effect at Knowstone, Beaples Moor. Here is the original site of the menhir in 1984 before the new link road was built and came too near to its position.

The ‘IDEAL’, a menhir site linking three prehistoric tracks, and the ‘Two Moors Way’ between Exmoor and Dartmoor. The positioning measurements of 10,000 years ago hold some potential for ‘vortex’ energy of pilgrims enhancing the landscape through devotion at the woodland sanctuaries, and forming a ‘path’ of devotion through two or three different environments. In Mid Devon the woodlands were sanctuaries of devotion along the way.

In our research we found a photo of the original site of the Knowstone menhir, which resided 50 yards away. Now modern roads accompany the ancient tracks, and Knowstone stands guard, observing and discussing the energies passing through. Thus with story we can ‘reinvent’ the invisible energetic layers around us with new mythology.

The Knowstone/Beaples Moor menhir overlooking a busy road between Tiverton and Barnstaple. [image by C Yonge 2026] The ‘REAL’ repositioning of the Beaples Moor Stone 50 yards away, allowing space between the road traffic and the stone. In the Sign of Gemini, it is part of a ‘Milky Way’ rite of passage through ‘Milk Road’ and ‘Little Silver’ and ‘Wormsland’. Worms were referred to as dragons: https://dragons.fandom.com/wiki/Wyrm ‘Wyrms (alternatively wurms, worms or orms) are serpentine dragons, normally of European origins. The word is derived from the Norse 'ormr'.

The language of earth energy still survives, and in Mid Devon we discover paths, also related to the ‘lyndworm’ (Wiki ‘A lindworm (or lindwurm) is a mythical, giant, two-legged serpentine monster from Northern, Western and Central European folklore. Often described as a wingless dragon living in deep forests, this legendary creature is characterised by its long, snake-like body and, sometimes, ravenous nature.’)

THE STORY WITHIN THE LANDSCAPE:

In North Exmoor, Lynton reflects the ‘worm’ ways or ‘lyndworm’ passages across the moors. It is in the conjectured sign of Scorpio in our terrestrial zodiac. This is considered the ‘gateway’ to enlightenment at the end of the ‘Milky Way’ dual purpose ‘Two Moors Way’ to Dartmoor. Signifying the ‘alchemist’ we can complete our circle of initiation by announcing our resurrection and healing. In medieval times this was how Christ and Mary guarded and guided pilgrims from the Centre of the galaxy. As the galaxy crosses the sun’s ecliptic on the horizon, so the spiritual sun becomes the Son of God, and pilgrims follow a path of forgiveness and resurrection along with the Son/Sun.

MEGALTHIC SOLSTICE LINE OF SOUTH ENGLAND

Adaptations of images from lecture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVL_Vgl58qY
By Howard Crowhurst

Here is Crowhurst’s interpretation of the sun’s path, and how landscapes reflected the Sun/Son of God within cultural narratives. The ‘ideal’ computerised image projected from decades of research: a line linking ancient sites following the sun’s activities. At each site, the rituals and pilgrimages would create a vortex of nutritious energy.

THE SUN’S MOVEMENTS: Howard Crowhurst interprets the sun horse Denmark, gold plated bronze, similar to the Nebra Sky Disk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDrU-O4e5Nk. It is this truth of a sunlit world by which we are inspired and guided to be innovative, through recognising the dualities of existence, and co-creating new art forms for the culture enlightenment.

Howard Crowhurst’s analysis gives us one side of the duality - the ‘ideal measurement’ of orientations connected to the solstice line. As pilgrims, we represent the other duality: love in action. The outcome is wisdom and insight.

Connected to the Solstice Line, a hidden wisdom describes landscape relationships. The central line divides the rouble squar, found in Egyptian sanctuary designs. Line: 28.53 in the transcript (from the Youtube above), showing Portland, Holy Island and Maiden Castle Cornwall – symmetry 204 miles.

Has the Son/Sun of God spoken and left ‘laws of right living’ for humanity? This narrative comes down thousands of years, as a guiding narrative about the ‘measurements’ of the Sun/Son of God. We are now mathematicians and geometricians, that’s our narrative, and as pilgrims we add deeper meaning. We build the ‘subtle body’ within the land, its spirit of place, its inspirational presence at all times.

An ‘ideal’ mathematical measurement imitating the Egyptian and earlier Megalithic builders. The ‘exact angle of a double square’ Pythagorean sacred measurements – a perfect geometrical relationship between Maiden Castle and the hill top on the holy island of Mona (Anglesey).

Conclusion: In ‘Real’ time, we travel to places in our British zodiac, moving from the IDEAL image into the Gemini section and our experiences of the landscape. Here we report our visual and sensual engagements which ‘tuned’ us into an invisible symmetry of the ‘ideal’ etheric or ‘light body’ of a sanctuary.

GEMINI LANDSCAPES and our RENEWED NARRATIVES OF EMERGENCE AS VISIONARIES WE ARE INVENTING NEW NARRATIVE ‘REALITIES’

The local majesties of the landscape of Gemini:

PILGRIMAGE TO LUD’S CHURCH pre-2017

Wiki: Lud’s Church
‘A deep cleft in the rock brings deep awareness of being interior whilst also exterior to the rock.’
This brought a gasp of recognition within our group of pilgrims, as we walked through, savouring the impact within the soles of our feet. How many Gemini twins can we discover within the natural rocks and hills of Gaia, each begging for dialogue and new poetry?

Our experience as speechless pilgrims was one of enclosure by the earth, an embrace, a silent questing ‘Who am I?’ as defined by this unique rocky passage.

PILGRIMAGE TO THE BULLSTONES IN CHESHIRE 2017

The Bullsltonees https://prehistoricpeak.co.uk/the-bullstones
Screenshot of photo by Megalithic Portal ‘Bullstones submitted by DavidHoyle : Looking towards the Roaches where the winter Solstice sun would rise. The nearby wall also appears to have lots of very rounded stones in it, probably robbed out of this site.’

In 2018 we went to the Bullstones and recorded our experiences with poetry and written reports. Our introduction explained the qualities of the astrological sign and thus framed our poetry and observations. All these records consolidated our ‘group experience’ of the spirit of place.

Reports: At the sign of Gemini, the symbolic interpretation for the vision quest is ‘Innovator, Creative Communicator and Bridge of Polarities’. Therefore it felt appropriate to create poetry, by improvising with written words and bringing key images together in verses or strings of impressions. This ‘improvises’ with human imagination and the way the landscape impacts on our senses and triggers metaphors, fantasies and dreams.

We lit our lantern and set it upon the central stone. We then created a group poem.

BULLSTONES POEMS 2018

[Journal notes by Charlotte Yonge]:

The poetry questions set the scene for free association of the senses. Each question makes images juxtapose each other, imagination leaps and we entice the enchanted truth and love from its cave-sleep, like a ‘Sleeping Beauty’, onto our awakening pages.

An Overview (CY):
The dreaming landscape
awakens within our walk,
within our poetry,
and our lacing lantern light,
and the sheep sleep,
the crags leap
as we lay our shadows down.

Poetry and photomontage of the Bullstones (Recreating a sense of wholeness through montage, photographs by Charlotte Yonge]

The pilgrims lit the lantern, sent peace, love and light to the world, then created poetry to share.

The angel or ‘spirit of place’ seemed to appreciate our arts in the landscape, as a way of creating memory and dialogue with the orientations of a wider context, its views and its calming stimulus.

The focus verses for four poetry-making instructions cover the following:

  1. Expression of the ‘overview’ of the landscape.
  2. Description of 1 inch square beside our feet.
  3. In the shoes of…Experiences of a part of the landscape ‘as if’ I were…
  4. I hear the angel’s whisper to me.

The participant’s verses are each individual, and now they begin to interface together. We were generating creative insights, and acted as pilgrims who had no aspirations to being a celebrated poet. We speak on behalf of he spirit of place in the landscape

Charlotte’s verses:

Rings of stately flames
Patterns of sandstone in the wind.
Mirror of storied heights,
Hold the majesty of the holding hills.

‘Happy scudding-cloud shadows
Sweep with billowing sails,
Across table-top skyline,
Anchored deep in rushes’.

Vivienne’s verses:

‘Grass brightening,
Sandy earth beaten bare by hooves,
Vulnerable yet enduring,
Gathering power.

Concrete spire,
A dried grass cross in the sand,
Open, exposed.
You are part of this process.

Flowers! Rainbows in the grass,
Large pebbles, small grains,
Surface ruffled –
Dormancy.’

Mike’s verse:

‘Blue haze horizon stretches away,
Sunlight, sharp shadows of waving grass,
Stones and sheep wool.
Stone-still silence,
Welcome.’

Richard’s verse:

‘Whatever you have done or not done,
The nettle feels the wind:
I am still here,
Whether or not you believe
Is nothing to me.’

Group verse:

The nettle feels the wind,
Scudding cloud shadows,
Sunlight, sharp shadows.
Wind waving grasses,
Stones and sheep wool,
Hold the majesty of the holding hills.

These poems captured the subtle senses of each person in response to dialogue with the landscape. It felt like an awakening of a sleeping spirit of place, as our hearts responded to a uniquely reative experience.

THE WIDER LANDSCAPE NARRATIVES

Nearby is Buxton with its healing wells.

Wiki: Buxton from Grin Low
Wiki: The first inhabitants of Buxton made homes at Lismore Fields some 6,000 years ago. This Stone Age settlement, a scheduled monument, was rediscovered in 1984, with remains of a Mesolithic timber roundhouse and Neolithic longhouses origins.

Wiki: The Lismore Pot

Our narrative of a poetic imagination
Ancient cultures at Buxton responded to the mathematics of water. The ‘Lismore Pot’ at Lismore Fields, Buxton, is over 5,000 years old, inspired by Nature and the abundant waters, how they behaved. Perhaps the ancient culture ‘swirled the warm spring water’ emerging from the rock, in order to find a ‘hidden wisdom’, which emerged as this bowl?

St Ann’s Well today

Wiki: ‘By 1460, Buxton's spring had been pronounced a holy one dedicated to St Ann, who was canonised in 1382. A chapel had appeared there by 1498.’ Its healing wells brought prosperity as a Spa town:

‘Built on the River Wye and overlooked by Axe Edge Moor, Buxton became a spa town for its geothermal spring, which gushes at a steady 28 ° C.’ Its healing magic transformed human experience, and the site became dedicated to godly ancestors.

Wiki: Modern visitors collecting the waters from St Ann’s Well

Time stands still, divine intervention is expected.

As well as spa associations, Buxton has its own opera house, what a wonderful combination of healing and the arts… an angelic subtle body is surely nestling within a swirling vortex ‘pool’ of human appreciation.

Buxton’s opera house

As Gemini inspires collaborative polarities within our imagination, the ‘ideal and the real’ in complementary relationships, so does theatre, especially Shakespearean drama incorporating narratives of partnership and twinship.

Solomon’s Temple/Grinlow Tower built by Victorians on the top of a barrow, in the hills above Buxton. Wiki.

This is an example of ‘twinship’ as this ‘temple’ on a barrow not only has two names, but has also made the barrow a scene of ritual admiration across the ages. This is another example of the Gemini effect where earth energy is ritualised, inviting walkers enjoying the setting as a focal point of architectural symmetry… a hidden relationship to human imagination and sensibility, memories of the holy waters and divine intervention offering renewed health and vitality.

THE GEMINI EFFECT EXPLAINED IN MORE DETAIL

As we perceive, sense and intuit the ‘angel’s whisper’ or what lies beneath our feet in the stones and earth, our mindful awareness engages with our ‘analytical mind’ with improvised words or verse. This we realised engages a sense of upliftment, from the ‘angel’ of our landscape and the surrounding relationship of the horizon with the stones. The ‘real’ is our cognition through our senses, the firmness of the pebbles beneath our feet, the sense of the wind and sun on our skin. The ‘Ideal’ is the orientation between the landscape and the passage of the sun through time…. Pythagorean alignments bring mathematical precision and a sense of the miraculous ‘visionary’ calculations of the earlier Megalithic culture which arranged the stone sanctuary in the first place.

OUR INSIGHT: Is this an innate process of ‘building the light body’ of the landscape and of ourselves from an ‘inner’ place of personal experience, to an ‘outer space‘ of the living landscape. Is this the creative fusion of conscious experience that is happening minute by minute of our incarnation?

Every day we prepare ourselves for the ‘ideal’ day of the upcoming week, and then embody the ‘Rreal time’ process of engaging our thoughts, feelings and intuition into one package…. Our ‘light body’.

We are ‘light bearers’ and the landscape is our ‘time cycle’ teacher. As we engage with space and time and embody the ‘ideal’ spark of curiosity within us, a new light emerges. If we abandon our instinct for discovery, we lose the full attention to ‘the new’ emerging from our life context. We would be at peace and not seeking fulfilment of an ambition.

Johannes Kepler:
“Greece would be peaceful if the Greeks turned to geometry and other philosophical studies, as these studies would lead their spirits from ambition and other forms of greed — out of which wars and other evils arise — to the love of peace and moderation in all things.” — Plato, citing the Oracle of Apollo to the people of Delos.

Kepler introduced the theory of universal gravitation… meaning there was a divine purpose driving the ‘shapes’ that could be identified logically, but which were constantly emerging in different ways stimulated by the divine.

STORIES AND INTERPRETATIONS CREATED INNOVATIVE CULTURAL MEMORY:
This is a philosophy of how we research landscape temples and the earth sanctuaries, with stone circles and gateways into ‘God’s creation’ that drove the Megalithic beliefs and culture. The solar and lunar transits are always in relation to other planets and stellar events, a part of a great evolving cosmos. That is how our landscapes brought stories and meaning to human evolution. The terrestrial zodiacs brought archetypal stories into memorable teachings, thus when we travel around the circumference, we find ‘’creative tools’ for building vision… for building light-body intuition and creative power.

Hexagonal foundations of a Roman Temple at Meonstoke, between sacred hilltop barrows.
The site’s likely dedication is to a river deity, her name reconstructed as Meonna or Meanna on the Meon River.

Dowsing the spring origins of this river nearby, we tuned into the sacred role of water in the formation of ‘spirit of place’ and its hidden rocky power, contributing to the growing ‘light body’ between the hills: the original site of Winchester where King Alfred’s palace sits on the edge of St Catherine’s Hill ‘Wheel of Light’.

[Graphic by Caroline Danby, artwork adapted by Charlotte Yonge from draft by Peter Dawkins] A circular interpretation of King Arthur's Round Table, depicted by Peter Dawkins as an ‘initiatory cycle’ of creative skills. of a warrior path to enlightenment. The Rose in the centre opens another petal as we process through the solar cycle.

The polarities of Sun questing and Lunar intuitive responding, are essential to the overall ‘VISION QUEST’ OF SOMEONE SEEKING TO MANIFEST THE TRUTH OF LOVE, BEAUTY AND WISDOM.

When the sun is in Gemini the quest is for a visionary path of synthesis and innovation. The moon in Sagittarius represents the intuitive response of developing ‘expandive co-creative wisdom’ in action. Together we build a new world.

Are these art forms the creative expressions of our ritual landscapes and wheel of life, in which we build our initiatory path? They relate to the invisible realms of the ‘light body’ of illumination, in natural settings. We now can weave and celebrate the invisible subtle realms of energies that scaffold our sense of wisdom, truth and beauty within our hearts.

A vision of enlightenment:
In such a state the earth energy becomes a fountain of energy that rises right up the spine to burst through the crown of the head, where it eventually arches over, fountain-like, to fall in glittering light back to the ground. Peter Dawkins
