Wheel of Life Full Moon Meditation – Cancer Sun / Capricorn Moon

Tuesday 30 June @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Wheel of Life Full Moon Meditation - Cancer Sun / Capricorn Moon – 30th June 2026

The full moon link-up is offered as a way of connecting with other ‘inner pilgrims’. You are invited to join in at 12 noon on this date - Meditation is a personal journey, which unfolds in our unique ways. As we attune together at 12 pm we can make our prayers more powerful with a common focus. For those who feel connected to this particular work of the Gatekeeper Trust perhaps we could share the focus of a wheel of silver light spinning in the British Zodiac, radiant and happy.

THE SUN IN CANCER - ‘The Guardian and Heart Protector’

Following the patterns of the ‘Round Table’, we are learning the trades of all the ‘knights’ of virtue, cherishing a ‘fiery hope’ for the evolution of humanity and the planet.

Traditions of the zodiac are very old, but speak to us of our latent creative tools of the psyche, which provide ‘good boundaries’ for our ‘star selves’ to learn collaborative evolution with the spirit of Gaia.

The Round Table of our lives, in which we learn to unfold the petals of our hearts.

A speculative vision-building map is our ‘cultural shell’ of stories of King Arthur and his knights. A round table from the mythology has been adapted to portray the creative challenges through the year, holding a vision of enlightenment. (Based on Peter Dawkins draft, graphics by Caroline Danby)

A MYTH WHICH SUPPORTS THE PRINCIPLES OF CREATIVE CHANGE AS A ‘CULTURAL SHELL

The heart ‘protector’ is a cultural recreative response to the beauty of Nature.

Like a crab, whose shell protects sensitive organs of survival, our hearts are protected by our shared stories of courage and innovative boldness.

Each sun sign offers a step along the way… our heart’s ‘rose’ in the centre opens petal by petal through our lives.

The sun quest in Cancer is an important one: How can I/we create ‘good protective boundaries’ for the emerging collaborative vision? Having just gathered a supportive group and begun investigating the innovative cutting edge that is needed to express our world vision, the next stage of creating boundaries of guardianship, protection from cynics and ‘uprooting forces’ is essential before we hone our Leo collaborative leadership skills.

Cancer represents the ‘Inner Guardian' which links to cultural roots/ancestors and where in the South of the season cycle Peter Dawkins sees it symbolising the stage of 'perfecting our understanding in the initiatory journey of the year’. Cancer the Guardian tells us that understanding our vision is the basis of good boundaries and protecting our essential vision with a ‘crabshell’ in our hearts.

CAPRICORN MOON: What ways do we consolidate our vision plan? The answer brings additional qualities to our quest. In the inner psychic ‘dark’ this represents ‘a sense of incubation and protection’ for the seed vision to develop. The first sprout is underground, keeping warm with promise and nutrients. How do we interpret these together as a ‘dream team’, each having a contribution to make to our collaborative and inventive project plan?

ARBOR LOW CIRCLE IN THE BRITISH LANDSCAPE ZODIAC

In 2017 Mike and Vivienne Newton led a group to Arbor Low. Through poetry and photos we formed a lyrical celebration within the stone complex which included a circle, a hill and the foundation of a processional way. We celebrated and protected its hidden wisdom tradition where the surrounding walls of the stones opened into gateways facing far distant horizons.

Two visual poetic montages capturing the spirit of place bringing our memories together. [Graphics Charlotte Yonge] We are mystic creatives, capturing the spirit of place with technology - a synthesis of memories.

Art forms trigger memories of group attunement and enjoyment, where our ‘inner felt identification’ merged. This I felt was where art and light work act as mutual conductors and facilitators of wholeness for us and an expanding landscape.

In our reflections and senses when on pilgrimage the lantern centred our hearts in blessings and the hill aligned on the horizon brought in a wide ritualistic catchment of ancient sanctuaries. A sense of mystery and artistry from a thousand or more years moved our hearts. Reflecting on the white quartz boulders, the encircling walls of its containing mounds speak of guardianship. The ‘gateways’ in the walls opened to the larger landscape of memory and symbolism as a ‘far view’ opened: what were the rituals aimed to produce in the dialogue of stone, mound and horizon spoken to our inner senses?

The Angel’s Whisper

Be sure, we interpenetrate

And we speak to your bones,
And the bones of the earth.
We watch and recreate our will
To regenerate with your truth,
To perpetuate with your love
That incubates in our universe
In the star-wombs above.

Streams of Images

Light reflected to shade and protect,
Pitted stones
Arise from bedrock
Planted intent
The wind carves my crystal bones
Rocks cupped to receive
Grain and honey, that speak
To the genius of the earth.
Be sure, we interpenetrate
And we speak to your bones,
Building domes
Of custodial light…

The group enjoying the central stones, surrounded by the huge henge and its gateways to the distant horizons.

Pilgrim on the mound outside the circle, as part of a ritual complex, links the causeway and forms a framework for mystical ritual.

The celebrational lantern in the centre calls forth the Spirit of Place which we blessed with our poetry.

Two pilgrims and the lantern, enjoying the context of safety and support which the circle provided.

In this wonderful, wide henge, we felt the presence of the ancestors supporting our venture and our blessings celebrated within the wider landscape.

The embankments were structured around the central recumbent stones and held openings for solsticial or equinoxial focus. The whole structure was interpenetrated by a causeway for processional purposes. We felt welcomed and informed in many ways of its purpose as a protector and guardian of our sacred inner attunement.

Further ritual passages - Rowtor Rocks

As part of our landscape pilgrimage, we visited Rowtor Rocks, a place of ritual with no ‘polite notice’. It just settled with its pile of rocks holding a special sense of sacred sanctuary,

Rowtor Rocks as places of initiation formed the Gateway stones to Robin Hood’s Stride (2018). (Photo montage Charlotte Yonge)

As we walked through the stones, we imagined initiation ceremonies being conducted within the stone caves, between the rocks, hidden upon a small wooded hilltop. Making a montage captured the colours of the rocks and our imagination of ancient initiatory rites.

Robin Hood’s Stride is the location of several menhir and a rocky passage across the rocks. This is linked to Arbor Low and Rowtor Rocks as places where rocks were symbolic and places hidden along a passageway, where ritual activities could be held at the solar/lunar festivals of the year. Each of these sites had their own character and maybe theme of initiation.

Quest for new realities
Within the sign of Cancer we complete our understanding of what our initiatory cycle should contain: inspiration shared and supported, while a ‘fiery hope’ drives our actions, and we begin to build an innovative plan to share love, hope and courage with our world.

Like our mythologies of King Arthur and the Knights of creative initiative, the boundaries of group/cultural memory have been captured through photos and poetry. These keep our sharing at an optimum level through publicising our memories with Gatekeeper friends.

Cultural boundaries lie in the land’s memories, our individual paths of emergence ripen and mature, as we discover past saints’ lives and living/revived traditions of herbal cures, poetic cultural creation and star lore.

CAPRICORN MOON

As we quest we find our answer intuitively, since Capricorn represents our inner Consolidator and because the seeds of wisdom from the past year lie within the ground, the dark safe space initiates the growth of roots for those insights.

The Earth’s light body in this year 2026, during the start of a new Great Age of 25,000 years is beginning to put out rooted conscious and collective responses within humanity.

The ‘rewilding projects’ are fluent with compassion, fiery hope and collaborative action around the world. Here is an example of the commentaries accompanying video examples:

‘THE LAND WILL HEAL ITSELF’

“CULTIVATION, CIVILISATION AND THE REGREENING OF DESERTS

There seem to be very exciting regreening projects through introducing ecosystems into arid areas; bees and animals etc that burrow and fertilise. It appears that ecological biochemists realised the inherent ecology was replacing experimental environmental techniques at a much faster rate. Clearing and replanting was not working, they realised, but pruning and other protective adaptations to the existing systems liberated dormant growth potential, introducing burrowing animals liberated fertile seeds underground .... with soil water retention, deep buried seeds ...so insects began to flourish, adaptive ecological systems were being activated.”

Illustration of underground ‘dry’ roots still organised and ready to sprout under the surface of the dusty earth:

Villagers would chop out sprouting leaves mistaking them for weeds. When the new approach was used, the leaves were left to grow, as they were seen as part of the old root system still viable for new life. Earth banks were formed to capture rainfall and within a short few years a forest appeared.

These messages from Gaia tell us of the perpetual virility of her life forms and the ‘protective environment’ underneath the surface of the earth, waiting to remember how to produce ‘fruitful forests’ which in Tanzania are now cultivated with amazing abundance.

Permaculture instructor Andrew Millison journeys with the UN World Food Programme to the country of Niger in the African Sahel to see an innovative land recovery project within the Great Green Wall of Africa that is harvesting rainwater, increasing food security, and rehabilitating the ecosystem.

Food forests in Africa - starting ten years ago, and now….GB: Inside Africa's Food Forest Mega-Project, the report uses AI generated schematic diagrams of work done to capture moisture and thereby provide stimulus to underground roots systems still with potential growth.

… the key to solving hunger in Africa and beyond. Human technology and ‘control’ was not working until the United Nations World Food Programme began. Step one was capturing moisture:

This AI generated image explains how the moisture pit captures the rainwater. Trees began to sprout from underground roots and soon formed canopies that captured the rain.

Now precise diagrams inform the public how working with Nature’s own memories of regeneration is the way forward. Informative, precise videos instruct and illustrate the process.

GATEKEEPER EVENTS IN TEMPERATE RAINFORESTS

In 2015 our pilgrims visited Wistman’s Wood

This mandala represents a natural circular artform that celebrates the loose sticks and twigs on the ground beneath ancient altar stones.

…And later i 2017, the Wrekin, where two of us paid more attention to the low-lying woodland skirting the high ground. Here I created a montage, which included all the natural woodland shapes which we admired as we tiptoed along the paths. As ‘conceivers of natural beauty’ we become conservers through spontaneous artforms which hold sweet memories. This also is a Capricorn function of ‘inspiring spirit of place’ as a seed memory for the future.

Montage of the mandala made at the foot of the Wreken (graphis C J Yonge). The woodland provides the inspiration of growth and ‘nature’s art’ in the form of sticks and leaves. Our expansive experience at the top provided by half the group, is reflected in the design: natural harmony emphasised through human imagination.

How can we become good guardians of the light body of the Earth? David Spangler (Lorian Association) gives an artistic interpretation of the facets of incarnation as an expression of wholeness. This seems is like a stepping stone of innerv recognition that Gaia;s wholeness stimulates in our imagination… a boundary setting artistic interpretation of wholeness for our inner eye.

CANCER AS SYMBOL OF OUR ‘HEART PROTECTOR’ - can also become an art and science of wholeness, learning to sense it, and live it in daily life.

MAKING MANDALA’S is a way of creating a ‘HEART PROTECTOR’ through which to sense wholenss

An associated group seeded from Findhorn, the Lorian Association, provides us with another example of art as ‘mirror’ of wholeness.

‘Operating System - something to deepen with’ - DAVID SPANGLER

SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS as ‘heart temples’ - a concept leading to an insight, that all life even in the realms of digital art, appears to the mind as a mirror of wholeness. In everyday life, we bring out the immaculate possibilities of life in everyday activities, seeing ‘home’ a place where Earth’s beauty is reflected and protected within our hearts.

‘THE SIMPLEST EXERCISE’
“The simplest exercise is to turn your attention to thoughts that bring you joy or that fill you with a sense of wonder and spaciousness. Feel your mind and emotions expanding to meet this joyous and spacious felt sense. As you do, picture this joy flowing into your heart from where it circulates throughout your body, filling all your cells and tissues.”
David Spangler.

We are mystics from our origins in space, honouring the unique creative role of Gaia within human spiritual evolution.
