POSTPONED – ‘Pilgrimaging with the Sweet Swan of Avon’

Saturday 5 June

Date: 5 June 2021 – CANCELLED

Pilgrimage with the Sweet Swan of Avon will now take place on the ground as a Pilgrims’ Weekend in the Cygnus landscape temple in 2022, rather than on Zoom this year.

Gatekeeper Trust intend to hold the Lockeridge/Avebury pilgrims’ weekend originally scheduled for April 2020 on 10-12 September 2021 in a revised format. More information to follow.

Cygnus represents the creative energy – the singing swan sings the harmonies of the universe into being, with all wisdom expressed through the arts, song, dance, poetry, painting and mandalas.

Join us for a day enjoying and celebrating our own local landscapes with this common theme, linked together energetically and consciously.

Peter will talk about the landscape of Stratford-upon-Avon in terms of the British landscape zodiac and the constellation of Cygnus and how the land and human culture expresses the heavenly archetypes.

Sarah will offer examples of arts in the landscape as inspiration for our own pilgrimages in our local landscapes.

10.30 – 12.30: Peter Dawkins Zoom talk; virtual photographic pilgrimage through Stratford-upon-Avon; Sarah Dawkins Zoom presentation of ideas for pilgrimage arts.

12:30 – 16:30: Local Pilgrimages linked together by common theme and purpose of Cygnus.

17:00 – 18:30: Regathering on Zoom; small group sharing; questions and answers with Peter followed by Zoom talk, ‘Role of Cygnus in British Isles and beyond’; completion.
