Linking with the Listening to the Land Pilgrimage

22/09/2021 - 24/09/2021

In Autumn Equinox week, the Listening to The Land Pilgrimage passes through the North West of England on its way along the Belinus Line, The Spine of Albion, to Glasgow before the COP26 Summit in early November. Members of the NW Gatekeeper Group will support the Pilgrimage over 2 days as our service over the Equinox period.

On Wednesday 22 September (Equinox day) the pilgrimage starts at Mow Cop near Congleton at 1030, then moves to Bosley Cloud summit for 2pm finishing in Gawsworth near the Church for 6pm

On Thursday 23 September the pilgrimage starts in Gawsworth at 1030 then moves to Alderley Edge at The Wizard National Trust Car park for a Wisdom Keepers Ceremony at 2pm then Prestbury (Legh Arms) at 6pm.

Friday 24th September starts at 1030 in Prestbury and it ends the day in Manchester with a blessing in the Cathedral.

We intend to walk the whole day on 22nd and then (depending on how it goes the previous day!) join the pilgrimage again on the Thursday. We will at the very least attend the Wisdom Keepers Ceremony on Alderley Edge on that day and walk to Prestbury (Alderley Edge is my own childhood play area and I can't wait!!).

If anyone wants to join us on the Wednesday or Thursday in whole or in part then please let me know and we can plan transport either by pick up or drop off at one of the rail stations or by 2 car systems. These are linear pilgrimage walks so a little planning is required.

More information about the pilgrimage can be found here https://www.pilgrimagefornature.com/ I can be contacted at mnewton998@virginmedia.com
