Encircling the Land with Sacred Dance
You are warmly invited to join a celebration to honour this time of the year and place in the landscape of Britain. Wells Cathedral, dedicated to St Andrew who was a fisherman, is situated next to natural wells where springs of water rise up from beneath the Mendip Hills.
Our dances will try to reflect these themes.
**************
You do not need to be an experienced dancer: The dances are simple and will be explained fully. Come and share the joy of dancing together in a circle accompanied by musicians.
**************
We will dance from 2.00 til 4.00 pm.
The dances will be lead by Frances Fawkes
Our musicians will be Maya, Eva, Michael, Tanya and Bob.
**************
If it gives you pleasure, please dress to suit the occasion, and bring something to lend for the centre, either from nature or of personal significance.
Suggested donation towards expenses to be given in the Chapter House: £10.
***************
As preparation for the dance, a meditative walk in the Bishops Palace Gardens to attune to the landscape is warmly recommended.
Entrance £8.05
