A Gatekeeper Trust walk led by Mair Forder
We will meet at 10.30 a.m. in Jervaulx Abbey car park, Jervaulx, HG4 4PH
If you wish to visit the abbey after our walk, the entrance fee is £5 via an honesty box at the entrance or payable online at www.jervaulxabbey.com
Length of walk: Approx 2 miles, easy walking.
Facilities: Large car park (£1 via honesty box).
Please note there are no toilets or café at the abbey site. The nearest toilets and refreshments are a short distance away at Brymor Ice Cream, HG4 4PG
We will follow the bridleway through Jervaulx Park, climbing a gentle slope to a beech grove where we will create a natural mandala amongst the trees, to honour the turning of the Wheel of the Year, You are welcome to bring an object that holds meaning for you to place in the mandala, e.g. a crystal.
We will be out for about one and a half hours. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to keep you warm and dry. A walker’s stick may be useful. You are welcome to bring a drink and a snack.
