Saturday 25 November 2017

MORNING PROGRAMME:

“Working with the Consciousness of Nature” - Peter Dawkins
Peter works with the angels and nature beings who direct and help him to work in the landscape. Peter will bring examples of what he is doing, how he considers that this works and why it is that a well walked pilgrimage route becomes a pathway of light. In this way, he will introduce the theme of the weekend and the contributions of the other speakers.

“Playing with the Ferlies” - Elen Sentier
The Ferlies, the Faer Folk, the Tylwyth, or nature spirits - however we call them, they are our allies and friends. The Ferlies want us to make friends and play with them again, then they will show us how to work with them, with ourselves, and with the whole of the natural world. Elen spent time with them up in Glen Affric this Spring and will share some of her experiences with us.

AFTERNOON PROGRAMME:

“Measured Steps: Practice and Philosophy of Labyrinths” - Daniel Docherty
To consciously walk and work with the Labyrinth is to pilgrimage to the centre of our own being. The labyrinth is an ancient and powerful mnemonic, currently enjoying a revival as people today seek wholeness within the sacred and the mysterious. Through this illustrated talk, Daniel will explore how the 'measured steps' of the labyrinth can lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the wider cosmos.

“Eco Shamanism - Becoming One with our Earth” - Mandy Pullen
Eco Shamanism is a marriage of shamanism and deep ecology and is very much a 21st century approach to shamanism. It’s central tenet is based on a radical shift of perception - being our Earth rather than being on our Earth. Mandy will lead us in an exploration of this approach.

Jay Ramsay will read from his own work and others, weaving his poetry in reflection of the unfolding themes.

EVENING: 8.00 - 10.00pm
Labyrinth Walk:
Join Mandy Pullen, Jane Embleton and Daniel Docherty in an evening labyrinth walk.

Sunday 26 November 2017

MORNING PROGRAMME:

“Dartmoor Mindscapes - Re-Visioning a Sacred Landscape” - Peter Knight
Peter Knight returns to the conference to give an inspiring powerpoint presentation about his 11th book, which is about his discoveries and deep, personal experiences on Dartmoor. He will share his insights, poetry and findings as he interacted (in all seasons and weather) with the moor's tors and sacred sites, and will suggest how we can all walk more mindfully on any mythologised landscapes.

“The Living Circle” - Sarah Dawkins
Paneurythmy literally means to dance with 'the movements and rhythms of nature’. Sarah will share some insights into how Paneurhythmy, a sacred dance-yoga, helps to build the light body of the world. Sarah will also share news of Gatekeeper Trust’s unfolding Wheel of Life project that is working within the British Zodiac and connecting with our landscape through Pilgrimage, Paneurythmy and the Expressive Arts.

AFTERNOON PROGRAMME:

There is a choice between two afternoon activities:

  • Joining a River Pilgrimage to the nearby Avon River, led by Mandy Pullen and Jane Embleton
  • Creating a Mandala led by Peter and Sarah Dawkins

Jay Ramsay will again be speaking his poetry in reflection of the unfolding themes.

Closing Circle:
The weekend will close with the opportunity for discussion and closing comments.
