Sacred Dance at St Mary’s on Paddington Green

Encircling the Land with Sacred Dance is once more holding its London event in January - on Saturday 6th. January 2018. This year we are moving the energies to the west of London again (not far from the West London Synagogue, where we have danced before). We have been led to an exquisite baroque church - ST. MARY’S on PADDINGTON GREEN. The vicar encourages dance within the church and he and his staff have been most welcoming.

There has been a church on this site since 1222 and it is known to have been a place of worship long before that. The energy and atmosphere of St. Mary’s is very beautiful - as is the church’s appearance. The church has pretty box pews that are not moveable, so there won’t be space for a large circle, but the aisles are wide and will easily accommodate a line or lines of dancers, so with flexibility we will manage very well.

The church has disabled access and also a viewing gallery (but via rather steep stairs)

Venue:- St Mary's Church on Paddington Green, in the Parish of Little Venice, London W2.

Travel:- by Bus- take no. 16 from Victoria and get off at Church Street Market, Edgware Road, which is just after the flyover. Turn your back on the market and go along Church Street to Paddington Green and the Church.

Train and Tube:- the Church is just north of Paddington Station. Exit the Tube onto Bishop's Bridge Road.

Time:- 1.30 - 4.30 pm. There will be a break for refreshments. Tea, cold drinks and biscuits will be available.

Beforehand:- we will meet for lunch from 12 o'clock at (venue to be decided), do join us if you are able.

Cost - we are asking for donations of £8 this year.
