Celebrating the Midsummer Festival of Joy

Pilgrimage Walk from Leiston Abbey to the sea

Wednesday 21st June

This will be the last in a series of pilgrimages exploring the ley lines going in an east west and north south direction, which cross in Framlingham.

Starting at Leiston Abbey, where we finished at the spring equinox, we shall walk along the last part of the east west line, through glorious woods to where it disappears into the sea.

We can have lunch in the café at Sizewell, or bring a picnic if you wish. The walk is approximately one and a half miles. Weather permitting, we can spend some time on the beach before walking back again.

We will meet at 10 am at Leiston Abbey - there is plenty of parking.

We can tune in there and make our dedication for the day, then drive a short way to the start of the walk. Do bring pipes, drum and a song or chant for the summer solstice, or for peace, to share if you like. There is a circle of red oaks just off the track which is a lovely spot to stop and sing.
