Balancing the Flame is a series of weekend workshops designed to explore, re-member and celebrate the eight most potent points of the year, the solar festivals, in relation to ourselves and the land upon which we live. These workshops are open to men, women and couples.

The Spring Equinox is also known as the Vernal Equinox, Vernal meaning ‘of Spring' and Equinox meaning equal night. The balance of the day and night is on the edge of a tipping point, from dark to light. We can use this time as a portal or to turn our energies outwards and embrace our lives by literally sowing the physical and metaphorical seeds we have cultivated in late winter ready to swell in the approaching warmth of the year. Tides are high, nests are either under construction or inhabited, there is a huge abundance of yellow flowers reflecting the increasing power of the Sun.

Sleeping energies held within the land begin to stir at this time of year and the dragon lines reawaken. Life in all its forms begins to feel the dance quicken and become playful and full of growth. The weather is changeable, humans feel it in their bones often with strange aches and pains and/or an ‘off colour’ feeling. But there is also expectancy in the air, a promise . . . are we ready? It really is a time of Balancing the Flame.

The weekend costs £210 and includes all accommodation, meals and tuition.
